Working With Your Lawyer

About ten years ago, I was involved in a bad car accident. Another driver, who happened to be driving drunk at the time, smashed into the car I was driving. In addition to killing my daughter, the accident also left me paralyzed from the waist down. Although the case should have been cut and dry, the insurance company claimed that I was at fault. Fortunately, I worked with a lawyer who was able to fight my case for me. Without his help, I would still be paying off medical bills. I want to spread the word about the good that lawyers can do, which is why I created this website.

3 Examples Of Personal Injuries That Can Occur By Visiting A Favorite Fast Food Restaurant

With life being as busy as it is, it is awfully convenient to be able to swing through a drive through or walk into your favorite fast food restaurant and grab dinner on the run. However, it is not at all uncommon for this quick convenience to sometimes come at a price. What if you were injured because you stopped at a public fast food place to get food? Unfortunately, this can and does happen, and when it does, it is always in your best interest to reach out to a personal injury attorney. Take a look at three examples of personal injury cases that can come about just because you happen to stop in at a fast food place at the wrong time.

You slip and fall because the floors are unkempt or slippery.

Fast food is called fast food for a reason; it is prepared as quickly as possible. This often means a fast food restaurant gets overwhelmed with the number of orders coming in all at once, and in some cases, the usual cleaning duties get neglected. You could walk into a fast food place and slip because the floors have a spill on them, have not been properly cleaned, or are slippery. In these situations, if you are injured because of your fall, be sure to contact an attorney for advice.

You contract a food-borne illness by eating at the restaurant.

Businesses that serve food to the public are under strict obligations and guidelines to ensure that the food they are serving is perfectly safe for human consumption. However, in some cases, the safe food practices get neglected when staff members are in a hurry or if their equipment is faulty. Sadly, this mishandling of the food can lead to food-borne pathogens that can make you extremely sick with food poisoning. If your food poisoning experience is bad enough that you miss time from work and have medical bills, you could have a personal injury claim on your hands.

You sustain burns because the food is too hot or an employee is not careful when giving you food.

There have actually been personal injury claims in which a claimant suffered bad burns on their hands or bodies because their food or drink from a fast food place was way too hot or spilled on them during the handover of the order. If you sustain burns from your fast food and have to seek medical treatment because of it, it is wise to speak with a personal injury attorney like Gartner Law Firm.
